SALISBURY, Md. - Brenda Joyce Kelly, 69, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Rodney Harris and Anna B. Walters Whitelock. Joyce worked for several years as a waitress and retired as a CNA, doing private sitting. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her grandchildren and loved watching them playing sports.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Karen Davis and her husband, Brian of Salisbury and Brenda Donophan of Bridgeville; 3 sons, Eric James and his wife, Jenn of Salisbury, Billy Donophan of Salisbury and Walt Donophan of MI; 12 grandchildren, Kelly, Devin, Hayley, Ayden, Makenzie, Laureen, Kyle, Katelyn, Billy, Jessi, Ashley and Lindsay; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Barbara Todd of Federalsburg, Sharon Arvey of Salisbury and Suzanne Willey and her husband, John of NJ; 4 brothers, Harold Whitelock of Dames Quarter, Dale Whitelock of Salisbury, Mike Whitelock and his wife, Kathy of Salisbury and Bruce Whitelock of Salisbury; several cousins including, Judy Sterling of Princess Anne and Henry Travers of Oriole and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Bill Kelly and Calvin James.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 12th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Travers.
