Salisbury Man Arrested On Rape Charges

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man has been arrested after allegedly raping a woman. Salisbury Police arrived at PRMC for a reported rape.

The victim reportedly told officers that an acquaintance, 27-year-old Darnell Townsend, forced her to have sex against her will.The US Marshals Capital Area Fugitive Task Force picked him up and took him into custody.

He was charged with 2nd degree rape, 2nd degree assault, 3rd and 4th degree sex offence, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment and CDS distribution. He was released to the custody of central booking.
