SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury University commemorates Disability History and Awareness Month with a series of events in October.
A screening of the documentary Sound and Fury inaugurates the series at 3PM on October 17, in Teacher Education and Technology Center Room
156. The film follows two families as they struggle to decide whether a
cochlear implant, which can assist hearing-impaired individuals, is best for
their children.
Events culminate with a disability workshop with staff from the Holly Community, Inc. at 3PM on October 31, in the Pocomoke Room. Speakers provide information on disability history, law and assistive technology.
