UPDATE: Missing Boaters' Family Speaks Out About Devastating Loss

Posted: Updated:

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - We're now learning more about the two missing Florida Boaters.

Mike and Donald Bramlett were last seen on their newly purchased, 38-foot boat, called Reel Fun. The U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search Wednesday morning.

We spoke with Michael's wife, Kim, who tells WMDT that they found debris from the boat. Kim says they believe the boat somehow capsized, and that the men possibly died at sea. She also told us that Michael was adventurous, and even though he had no sailing experience, he thought he could handle it. The family says they're now trying to cope, with losing a father, brother, uncle, and husband.

"They're devastated. It's really hard to accept when you don't have all the answers to how it happened," said Michael's wife, Kim Burgeson.

We've also learned that there was a small craft advisory in effect this past weekend, making the waters somewhat unsafe for the boaters.
