Clayton Fatal Tractor Trailer Accident Under Investigation

Posted: Updated:

CLAYTON, Del., - A fatal tractor trailer accident is being investigated in Clayton. Delaware State Police are looking into an accident that happened on a private driveway off Daisey Road.

They say that Jerry Stanton, 52, of Clayton, was walking next to the trailer portion of the Freightliner tractor trailer, when he stumbled, and fell to the ground underneath the trailer. Police say that the driver, Kevin Isadorski 37, of Clayton, didn't know that Stanton had fallen, and kept driving, hitting him with the rear tires before stopping.

Stanton was pronounced dead at the scene. Isadorski was not injured, and police are not expecting to file charges. Daisey Road traffic was not impacted by the crash.
