Frankford Woman Succumbs To Crash Injuries

MILLVILLE, Del. - A woman has died from injuries that she sustained during a car crash last week. On October 4th, George D. West, 91, of Frankford, was driving a Pontiac Bonneville on Roxana Road, also known as SR 71, west of Millville.

Delaware State Police say that for unknown reasons the car drifted off the road before hitting a utility pole. Both West, and his passenger, Esther West, 91, also of Frankford, were both wearing seat belts, but both were removed from the scene by EMS.

Esther succumbed to her injuries at Christiana Hospital on October 8th. George is still admitted to Beebe Hospital at this time. The crash is still under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
