UPDATE: Search Continues For Missing Boaters

Posted: Updated:

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - We're learning more details about the hours leading up the Florida boaters' disappearance. Mike and Donald Bramlett were last seen on a 38 ft. boat called Reel Fun.

According to the Coast Guard, they fueled up in Atlantic City on Friday and made it into Ocean City that night. They reportedly told family they would leave in the morning and were expected in Chincoteague Sunday morning, but they never made it. Now search and rescue teams are scouring the waters for them. S

Scott Williams from the U.S. Coast Guard says of the incident, "It illustrates the importance of finding a detailed flow plan and sticking to your communicated schedule that you provide to your loved once because then each time you check in, you can provide a position." Coast Guard officials say they find it unusual that there's been no sign of the boat.

If anyone has any information please call the coast guard at 757-483-8567.
