Update: Ocean City Restaurant On Fire, Rt. 50 Opens Back Up

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - The Ocean City Fire Dept. reports a massive fire in West Ocean City.

The calls for the fire came just before 7 PM Friday evening at Waterman's Seafood Restaurant on the 12,000 block of Ocean Gateway.

Fire departments from all over Worcester County were at the scene and we're told the fire is now under control but there has been extensive fire damage. We're told the fire is accidental and the cause is still under investigation.

Route 50 west bound is open one lane and the east bound lanes are both open.

Officials tell us the restaurant was occupied at the time of the incident, but everyone was able to get out safely and no injuries have been reported.
