FREDERICA, Del. - Police have wrapped up a two month investigation, involving an apparent a meth lab, with two arrests. Delaware State Police say that they had been looking into the manufacturing and delivery of methamphetamine in the Frederica area.
The investigation lead police to search a South Market Street home, where they reportedly found component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of Meth along with key ingredients in making the drug. They say they also found a shotgun and other drug paraphernalia.
35-year-old George Shahan, and 34-year-old Kenneth Shahan, were both arrested at the home. George was charged with manufacture with intent to deliver a controlled substance - methamphetamine, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, and other related offences. He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $12,250 bond. Kenneth was charged with 2nd degree conspiracy and was released on $2,000 bond.
South Market Street between South Frederica Road and St. Anges Street was closed for around two hours, while officials safely dismantled and removed the meth lab from the home.
