"Touch A Truck" Aims to Help Fire Dept. Buy New CPR Machine

Posted: Updated:

SEAFORD, Del. - Kids will get the see what it would be like to sit in the seats of everyday heroes this weekend.

The Trinity Foundation is having it's 3rd annual Touch A Truck event this Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM in the Trinity Logistics parking lot. There will be plenty of food, games and prizes. Money raised during the event will help the town's Volunteer Fire Department buy a Lucas device, a machine that performs CPR perfectly.

"They have one for one of their ambulances, but they have two ambulances. So, they want to be prepared to have one for any emergency for either one of the ambulances that go out. It's a fun, family event. We're going to have all kinds of different vehicles for kids to come out and touch and be able to get the opportunity to rub elbows with the hometown heroes," Chris Parker of Trinity Logistics said.

It costs $5 for kids, and adults are free! We're told the Lucas device costs around $16,000 - $17,000.
