Fugitive Friday Segment Helps Put Another Wanted Man Behind Bars

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. - Some good news to report regarding our Fugitive Friday segment. Your tips took yet another wanted man off of our streets.

28-year-old William Jones Silva has been eluding police for almost two years. He had an outstanding bench warrant for handgun possession. The Wicomico County Sheriff's office got a tip that led them to Silva, on the 700 block of Lake Street.

"When the deputy got there he was confronted with a female that said she hadn't seen him for over a year and didn't come back to visit, which turned out to be bogus. He was actually in the house," said Sgt. Tim Robinson.

The woman was also charged for hindering and obstructing. Again we want to thank you for sending in those helpful tips that ultimately help police capture these men and women. Keep up the good work, and we'll continue to do our part.
