DOVER, Del. – Witney's Lights is proud to announce its 4th annual 5K walk/run to End Domestic Violence on October 6 at Silver Lake Park.
As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, participants will have the option to walk or run to raise much needed funds and awareness for the domestic violence cause. The Witney's Lights Walk to End Domestic Violence is a family-friendly event for all ages and will take place at beautiful Silver Lake Park in Dover. Registration begins at 8AM. The walk/5K Run starts at 10AM, followed by the awards ceremony at 11:15AM
Once again Witney's Lights will support victims of domestic violence by hosting an on-site community service activity to create W.I.T. (Women In Transition) Kits. Women and children often leave abusive homes without anything; these kits provide essential needs items while they transition to safety.
Participants can register online at www.witneyslights.com or by mailing the registration form to P.O. Box 1609; Dover, DE 19903.
