Nine Burglaries Land Two Men In Handcuffs

KENT CO., Del. - Two men have been charged in connection with nine Kent County home burglaries. According to Delaware State Police, they have been investigating the crimes, that happened in Dover, Camden, and Hartly, for the last month.

That investigation lead to the arrest of Floyd Smith Jr., 22, of Wyoming and Michael Johnson, 41, of Clayton. Police say the two forced their way into the houses, during the day, while the residents were away, and then stole jewelry and other personal items. They even reportedly went to the same house twice during their spree.

Smith was charged with 16 offences related to 2nd degree burglary and theft, and was released on bond. Johnson has a total of 27 charges including 2nd degree burglary and theft. He is being held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $57,000 bond.
