WMDT 47 NEWS- We have an update on a severe car crash on RT. 50 that occurred earlier Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 6:45PM just East of Beaverdam Road in Talbot County.  An investigation revealed a single vehicle veered over a paved crossover and struck a steel guard rail head-on. 

The rear passenger, Samantha Weisel, was ejected through the front window of the vehicle. She has been flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The driver of the vehicle, Alexandra Weisel was flown to PRMC for pre-cautionary reasons. A front passenger, Jacob Gehret was taken to Dorchester General for non life threatening injuries.      

Alexandra was charged with negligent Driving and Failure to Maintain Designated Lane Direction.
