SALISBURY, Md. - Two Salisbury 7th graders are being charged with having a handgun on school grounds.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says that they got word that a Bennett Middle School student had a gun at school, the BMS deputy found the student, and discovered that the gun was in a different student's locker.
When the gun was finally located the deputy says it was actually a very realistic .BB gun. The .BB gun was taken and both 12-year-old boys were charged through the Department of Juvenile Services and released to their guardians.
Police say that the students who reported the incident thought that the gun was real, so police say they will be charged accordingly.
