UPDATE: Two Alarm Fire Breaks Out In OC Condo Complex

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Officials say it took firefighters more than four and a half hours to control a two alarm blaze that broke out in Ocean City yesterday.

When the Ocean City Fire Department arrived on scene they say there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the third floor of the Bradly on the Bay Condominium Complex on Coastal Highway.

Authorities say that heavy fire, and floor collapse, forced the firefighters to attack the fire from the outside. Ocean City got assistance on scene from Berlin, Showell, Ocean Pines, and Bethany. The two buildings next to the heavily burnt one, sustained heat damage.

One firefighter was treated for minor burns, but no other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Fire Marshall's Office. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 410-289-8462.
