WYOMING, Del. - Caesar Rodney School District officials are offering extra support to students after an apparent suicide. Delaware State Police say a 10-year-old boy from W.B. Simpson Elementary School was found dead at his home early Thursday morning.
Superintendent Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald says, "As a result of this tragedy, the district activated our crisis plan and now has representatives from the Delaware Crisis Response Team, school psychologists, counselors and the school nurse on scene at Simpson Elementary to talk with students and staff who may need assistance. Our hearts are broken for this family and we hurt at the loss of a child so young. We can only hope the family finds some comfort in the thoughts and prayers of our entire school community."
