GLASGOW, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left two women injured, one critically.
Police say the two women were walking along Lake Drive in the Pencader Corporate Center near Newark about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday when they were struck from behind.
Authorities say 52-year-old Maria Eldreth of Wilmington was in critical condition at Christiana Hospital with multiple traumatic injuries.
Sixty-seven-year-old Judith Johnson of Newark was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say the vehicle involved may be a black, Geo Tracker-type SUV, with Maryland tags and damage to the right front end.
Corporate Boulevard and Lake Drive were closed for about 2½ hours while the crash was investigated.
