SALISBURY, Md. - There's only one week left to grab discounted food at local restaurants.
The event is called "Dine Out, Maryland!" and it's the first statewide promotion. Marylanders can receive a 20 percent discount off breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
"It gives Chef an opportunity to prepare something that's not on the menu, but something special for them," said Corey Baker, general manager of Sobo's Wine Beerstro. "[At the same time], it may be their first time here."
There are over 30 participating Eastern Shore restaurants, including Sobo's, where managers say it only helped business.
"It gives Sobo's an opportunity to bring in new customers, build a cliental base and to grow, to grow and get the word out of Sobo's of who we are and what we are," said Baker.
Baker added that though the promotion started slow business is picking up with around 20 percent of customers using the coupon each night.
