SALISBURY, Md. - Virginia Louise Miles, 93 of Braselton, Georgia formerly of Salisbury, died Monday, September 17, 2012 in Georgia. Born on May 16, 1919 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Grover T. and Louise Clayville Ross. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Happy Timers, AARP and Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury and worked for many years at Montgomery Ward. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her sons, Donald B. Miles and his wife, Vicky, of Braselton, Georgia, Reginald Ross Miles of Gainesville, Georgia; granddaughter, Tamara Lynn Cooper and her husband, Jamie of Willards, Maryland; great grandchildren, Jade E. Cooper and Amber L. Cooper; two nephews, Tommy Ross of Pennsylvania, Ronnie Ross of Florida; cousins, Jean Culver, Cora Lou Adams, Catherine Ent all of Salisbury and Pearl Furnis of Florida. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald J. Miles; brother, Thomas Ross and two cousins, Jane Harris and Bartin Webster.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Holloway Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dr. William Warrant will officiate. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the New Horizon's North, 2020 Beverly Drive, Gainesville, GA 30501, where she had resided for the past several years.
