Operation We Care Preparing For Holiday Season

SALISBURY, Md. - A local organization is preparing to ship out supplies to soldiers overseas.    

Operation We Care will start putting together supplies in mid-November to ship overseas by Christmas.  They started five years ago, sending care packages because of a Salisbury National Guard group that was deployed to Iraq.

"Let's do something cool for Christmas, let's ship care packages to the troops," said coordinator Jeff Merritt.  "[We] weren't sure if it was going to continue but after the first time we said 'wow, we can't stop this now.'"

 This year, organizers said that same group will be deployed to Afghanistan.
