Ocean City Police Could Be Looking For New Chief

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Ocean City's top cop could be moving on. Police Chief Bernadette Dipino, who has been with OCPD since 2002, is in the running to become chief of police in Sarasota, Florida. She is one of 5 up for the position.

Dipino tells WMDT this experience has taught her many things that will carry over to whatever may be next. Ocean City Police Chief, Bernadette Dipino, says "I've has a very wonderful experience with our police department. We've got a great agency, wonderful people that I work with, and an outstanding community and business and government that I've been able to work with over these years."

Dipino tells us she has an interview at the beginning of next month. The current chief in Sarasota is set to retire October 31st.
