
DOVER, Del. – The 6th annual Family Emergency Preparedness Day event will be held on September 22nd at the Delaware Agricultural Museum from 10AM until 2PM.
The event is co-sponsored by the
Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA), Delaware Department of Health and
Social Services-Division of Public Health, Delaware Citizen Corps, Kent County
Emergency Management, Delmarva Power, American Red Cross, Sussex County RSVP,
and Paws For People.
Activities and demonstrations include a live radio broadcast on Eagle 97.7, the Delaware National Guard kids climbing wall, health screenings by Bayhealth, Delaware State Police child identification, the Kent County Mobile Command Post, Millsboro Fire Company safety house, Dover Police K9 and SWAT demonstrations, Kent County Paramedics, Wal-Mart Safety Trailer, Red Cross Emergency Response vehicle, and more.
Exhibitors will have free giveaways, and there will be free food for the first 500 visitors. Admission to the event is free.
The Delaware Agricultural Museum is at 866 N. Dupont Highway in Dover.
