Changes In Maryland's Car Seat Law

MARYLAND - Starting October 1st, Maryland's car seat laws are changing. They area dropping the 65 pound weight exemption.

The new law states that children up to age 8 must ride in an appropriate child safety restraint.

However there is an exception, if the child is at a height of 4'9" or taller before their 8th birthday, this does not apply.
