WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. - NASA is preparing for two more rocket launches later this month. The two suborbital sounding rockets are scheduled to take off from Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on September 21st and 22nd. The launch windows are between 7 and 10 AM on both days.
One of the two rockets will carry experiments from college students. The second is a sounding rocket that will help support high altitude space science research.
The NASA Visitor Center will be open at 6 AM on the days of the launches for those who would like to watch. Mission status also is available on the Wallops launch status line at 757-824-2050.
