Delmar Couple Guilty Of Sex Abuse Of A Minor

DELMAR, Md. - A Delmar couple has been found guilty on sex abuse of a minor charges.

In court on Tuesday, September 19th, 42-year-old Thomas McGuire and his wife 28-year-old Nicole McGuire, were each found guilty on one count of sex abuse of a minor and one count of 3rd degree sex offense. With this ruling, both McGuire's will have to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives.

Sentencing hearings are pending a pre-sentence investigation and mandatory mental health evaluations. Both McGuire's are being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center.

Back in June, Thomas McGuire, a former Delmar mayoral candidate, was also found guilty of malicious burning, related to a November 2011 incident.
