OCEAN CITY, Md. - Film crews were hard at work in Ocean CIty Tuesday, September 18th, for the first day of filming for "Ping Pong Summer."
Starting at 8 AM, crews were set up near the Ocean Gallery at 2nd Street on the Board Walk.
WMDT caught up with the producers who say they were filming inside the Paul Revere's Smorgasbord, and want to focus in on classic Ocean City backdrops.
Producers are thrilled to get the ball rolling in the beach town, after decades of planning.
"We're so thrilled to be starting it's been a really long process and the director started working on this project 20 years ago so it's really amazing to see it actually happen," Producer George Rush tells us.
Filming will continue over the next 6 1/2 weeks. Several Local actors were cast as extras in the film.
