2012 Farm Bill Update

WMDT 47 NEWS - The 2012 Farm bill is set to expire this in two weeks and along with it a host of government aid to farmers.

The bill helps fund research to improve feed for livestock and food production industries.  Other parts of the bill support the expansion of products made from bio-based materials to replace petroleum in plastics.

The House needs to vote by the end of September to keep the 2012 Farm Bill in place.
