Jason Manley
SALISBURY, Md. - A 20-year-old Salisbury man is behind bars after apparently leading police on a high speed chase. Salisbury Police say that on September 15th around 10:45 PM, officers attempted to stop a vehicle, driven by Jason Manley, after it blew a stop sign at Onley Road and S. Division Street.
They reportedly followed Manley down Avery Road, where he stopped to let a passenger out, who then fled on foot. As officers got out of the patrol car, they say that Manley intentionally drove into the officer's car, which made it unable to drive.
Manley reportedly continued driving, with additional officers in pursuit. Police say that he hit several curbs, which caused his tires to pop, and finally bring the car to a stop near Wicomico Street and Goldborough Street.
They arrested Manley, charged him with 1st and 2nd degree assault, malicious destruction of property, along with 44 traffic violations. He was released to the custody of Central Booking. The officers involved were treated and released from PRMC.
