Collision Involving Six Motorcycles Near Ocean City

Closing out a weekend with two bike weeks in Delmarva, there was a 6 motorcycle collision on Maryland Route 90 near St. Martins River Bridge Saturday evening around 5:00 PM.

According to Maryland State Troopers, motorcycle #1 was slowing for traffic on the bridge and motorcycle #2 collided with motorcycle #1. Motorcycle #2 then lost control of his bike and crashed in front of motorcycle # 4. Motorcycle #4 abruptly slowed to avoid motorcycle # 3 and motorcycle # 5 collided with Motorcycle # 4.

Passengers in motorcycle # 4 passenger was ejected from the motorcycle and motorcycle # 5. Motorcycle# 5 was then struck by motorcycle # 6.

The driver of motorcycle #1 was air lifted to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Wicomico County Maryland with a head injury.

Motorcycle #3 was transported by Ocean Pines EMS to PRMC with unknown injuries. The passenger in motorcycle # 4 was transported to PRMC with a neck and leg injury. Motorcycle # 5 was transported to PRMC by Ocean Pines EMS with unknown injuries.

Police say no charges were filed.
