BALTIMORE, Md. - The Eastern Shore Food Bank is teaming up with the Maryland Food Bank which is hosting their second annual "Be A Voice Hunger Action".
One worker from the Salisbury branch says it's important to understand how many local families are affected.
"There are so many families that don't know where to turn and they don't know where their next meal is coming from," said Yvonne Terry, the Development Director of Maryland Food Bank. "We come together as a group because the larger the group, the more you're able to accomplish."
This is the first year that the Eastern Shore branch is participating in the "Be A Voice Hunger Action".
The Symposium is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
