Kovach Wins Del. GOP Primary For U.S. House

WILMINGTON, Del. - New Castle County Council President Tom Kovach has easily won the Republican primary for U.S. House.
    
Kovach is a former state representative. He now goes on to face Democratic incumbent John Carney Jr. in November.
    
With 64 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday, Kovach had 9,110 votes, compared to 4,857 votes for Rose Izzo.
    
Izzo is a housewife who courted the tea party vote. This was her second bid for the GOP congressional nomination.
