WALLOPS ISLAND, VA - After a few setbacks, a suborbital rocket blasted off at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
A second Terrier-Lynx is set for launch between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on September 15. The rocket may be visible to residents in the mid-Atlantic region. Click here for a map showing the area in which the rocket launch may be visible.
Officials say the launch will not be shown live on the Internet nor will launch status updates be provided once the countdown begins. The NASA Visitor Center will not be open for viewing the launch.
