GREENBACKVILLE, Va.- Aprille Gwen "Smitty" Scott, 58 of Greenbackville, Virginia died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

Born Sunday, April 18, 1954 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur James Burns and Madeline Ardelle Burns of Greenbackville, VA.

She was employed by Captain's Cove Golf and Yacht Club for 34 years.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Timothy John Scott; two sons, Timothy John Scott, II and Cole Thomas Arthur Scott; two daughters, Shiloh Nevada Scott and Madeline Ardelle Scott, II; one granddaughter, Ava Ellice Scott, all of Greenbackville, VA, one sister, Lisa Burns Mason and her husband Todd and their children Brianna Ardelle Mason and James Arthur Mason all of Lynchburg, VA.

At her request there will be no formal services.
