Cambridge Hosts 14th Annual Tribute To Our Heroes - WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - The Eastern Shore is recognizing its veterans.    

The Veterans Recognition Committee held its 14th Annual "Tribute To Our Heroes" event in Cambridge.  The event included local singers, booths and a rifle salute.  The entire day was well-received by veterans.

"This is what we need to do," said veteran Scott McMahon. "I mean not too far in our past of our country, we can remember another war, where the veterans and other members of the military were spit on and weren't given the proper tribute that they deserved."

The Veterans Recognition Committee formed back in 1999 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Korean War.
