SALISBURY, Md. - Lydia June Phillips Kitchens Maxwell, 81, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 at the Wicomico Nursing Home. Born in Mardela Springs, she was the daughter of the late Paul Brooks Phillips and Mildred Mills Phillips. She worked for about 10 years as a cashier for Dayton's Family Restaurant in Salisbury.
She is survived by a son, Alan Kitchens of Salisbury; a grandson, Graylon Kitchens of Salisbury; a great granddaughter, Bailey Kitchens; 2 sisters, Ruby Condon and Paula E. Smith, both of Salisbury; 3 brothers, Bryan Phillips and his wife, Barbara of Salisbury, Julian Mills Phillips of Nanticoke and John D. Phillips & his wife, Pat of Laurel, De. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph M. Kitchens and Joseph Maxwell; a son, Braylon L. Kitchens; 3 sisters, Irma Nunbar, Belva Haney and Miriam Ashley; and 2 brothers, Ralph L. Phillips and Frederick P. Phillips.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Lou Bradley officiating.
