Thanks to some fairly new technology, raising your hand to answer a question in class may someday become obsolete.
Recently, Salisbury Christian School started using interactive smart boards with ResponseCard Keypads, also known as "clickers," that let students instantly and anonymously submit responses to teachers' questions.
Salisbury Christian School headmaster Dr. James T Fox, said "It's a tremendous tool really to get all the students involved in learning in a very natural way." Steven Lamkin, a teacher at the school, likes that "rather than just calling on one student at a time I'm getting a response from all 20 kids in my class."
Salisbury Christian just purchased 10 more TurningPoint systems for the new school year and hopes to, soon, have them in all of its classrooms.
