PARSONSBURG, Md. - Patrick Russell Harshman, 58, of Parsonsburg passed away on Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at his home. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late I. Russell Harshman and Margaret Matthews Harshman. He retired in 2007 as a cable splicing technician after 34 years working for Bell Atlantic, C & P and Verizon. He was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Parsonsburg and the Westside Hunt Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joan Riley Harshman; 5 sons, Hugh Justin Harshman and his wife, Erica of Parsonsburg, Joshua Riley Harshman & his fiancée, Holly Trader of Parsonsburg, Sean Robert Case and his wife, Laura of Salisbury, Sam Thomas Johnson of Delmar and Patrick M. Harshman of Salisbury; 6 grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Ayden, Aylssa, Riley and Kadence; and a father in law, Jack Riley of Parsonsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Harshman Jester.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 at 11:00am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Henry Zollinhofer will officiate. Interment will follow at Jerusalem Cemetery in Parsonsburg. Contributions may be made in his memory to Jerusalem United Methodist Church, Parsonsburg, MD and or the Parsonsburg Fire Company, Parsonsburg, MD.
