28 bags of heroin, that's what police reportedly found on Tony Mills.
The 32-year-old Berlin man was the focus of a 2 month distribution investigation in which detectives allegedly purchased drugs from the suspect on two separate occasions.
During one of the exchanges, they made a troubling discovery.
"During the investigation, an undercover officer purchased heroin from Mr. Mills and when the purchase occurred, Mr. Mills was holding on to a child under the age of one." said Lt. Schreir of the Worcester County Sheriff's Office.
Shortly after police secured a warrant for search and seizure. It was on Elizabeth street where the Berlin SWAT team raided Mill's home and found marijuana, heroin, and Mills - hiding in a closet with a loaded handgun.According to Lt. Schreir, "a SWAT team is utilized when it's deemed that a high risk situation is involved."
It turns out, this wasn't Mills' first run in with the law.
He has a long rap sheet and now, on top of that, faces nearly a dozen new drug and weapons related charges.
