REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - A local contractor is being accused of forging paperwork to bring his costs down.

Rehoboth Beach Police say that Mark Knoedler, 45, of Millsboro, submitted multiple documents to the City of Rehoboth Building and Licensing Department, that had fake construction costs, and a forged customer signature.

Police say that the documents had largely lowered costs to in turn, lower the price of the permit. The victim told police that they had originally hired Knoedler to build an addition on their Rehoboth Beach home, in February of this year.

Knoedler was arrested, charged with 3rd degree forgery, and falsifying business records. He was later released on bond. Anyone who might have additional information should call Detective Sullivan at 302-227-2577.
