Wicomico County Landfill Goes Green and Generates Revenue

Wicomico County is getting some green for going green.

Tuesday, Newland Park Landfill will be presented with a check from GeoSyntec, an environmental consulting firm. As result of the landfill using its waste to generate electricity in the Waste to Energy Plant, Newland has been able to sell carbon credits to interested companies, such as GeoSyntec.
