CRISFIELD, Md. - Gun holes in windows, doors and air conditioners - those are remnants from a violent weekend in Crisfield.
"They are gang related, there's no doubt about it," said Police Chief Michael Tabor.
Saturday afternoon, police say shots were fired at 172 Somers Cove Apartments. Then Sunday morning, bullets discharged just around the corner, at 202 Somers Cove.
A few hours later, a home invasion at 19 Somers Cove. In the wake of this intense turn of events, one resident said she felt nervous walking outside.
"I went back out and it was after 9 and it kind of put fear in my heart," said Jean Campbell.
She's referring to the emergency curfew, which police imposed Sunday night. Right now, that curfew is in effect for the Somers Cove Apartments, which means residents under the age of 16 and non-residents should not be out and about between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The curfew expires early Tuesday morning.
Officials identified two suspects, arresting Zachary Scott. While arresting him , police recovered two handguns - a .40 caliber and a .25 caliber automatic.
As of Monday evening, Gary Jones, Jr. is still at-large.
But his grandmother insists police have identified the wrong man.
"This town needs more people to come forward and tell the truth other than going to the police station and lying," said Hurricane Hazel-Cropper. "If you want to know the truth, go up to the ones that will tell the truth and no tell a lie because it makes our police department look bad."
