Troopers Investigate Serious Pedestrian Crash in Milford

MILFORD, Del.-Delaware State Police are currently investigating a serious crash involving an 8 year old Milford girl.

At 9:33 AM Sunday morning, Jennifer A. Herholdt was operating a 2011 Ford Flex northbound on North Union Church Road approaching the intersection with Shawnee Road. Savana E. Moore was standing on east side of the roadway waiting to cross to the other side. Moore failed to see the Ford Flex coming and stepped out into the roadway and was struck by the Ford Flex.

The young girl was removed from the scene by the Delaware State Police Aviation helicopter and airlifted to A. I. DuPont Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
 
Jennifer A. Herholdt, who was properly restrained, was not injured in the crash.

This incident is currently under investigation.
