DOVER, Del. - Police are searching for three suspects after they allegedly robbed a Dover store.
On Thursday night, around 8:45 PM, two employees were getting ready to close the Dollar General Store at the Gateway South Shopping Center off of East Lebanon Road, when three black males walked in. The victims told police that one had a gun, and another had a knife.
Their investigation showed that one suspect confronted the 44-year-old victim at the front counter, and demanded money, while another went into the back, and forced the 19-year-old employee to the front. Police say the victims turned over the money, and the suspects fled, getting into a dark colored car, and drove off.
The employees were not injured in the ordeal. The suspects, seen here to the right, are described as around 17 to 20 years old, with their faces partially covered. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
This was the second reported store robbery on East Lebanon Road, this week. The other occurred on Tuesday at the Goose Creek Food Store, and also involved three suspects. State Police say that it is possible that the two incidents are related.
