Demby Pleads Guilty To Attempted Murder

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A man accused of attempting to murder a police officer, has pleaded guilty to attempted second degree murder. Demetrice Demby, entered the plea on Circuit Court of Dorchester County on Tuesday.

In March of this year, Demby hit a Cambridge police officer with his vehicle in order to avoid a traffic stop. The officer was injured during the ordeal.

Demby faces a maximum sentence of 30 years. The sentencing hearing will be held somewhere between 60 and 90 days.
