Dover Assault Suspect Turns Himself In

DOVER, Del. - A Dover man turned himself into police after they reportedly connected him to an assault earlier in the month.

Police say on August 10th, 36-year-old Eugene Smith broke through a window screen, went into a woman's East Water Street home, and assaulted her, then fled. They say the victim suffered major injuries.

On Wednesday, August 29th, Smith turned himself in to the Dover Police Department, was arraigned, then released on bond.
