SNOW HILL, Md. - A grand jury has indicted the man who is believed to have killed a Millsboro mother.
The Worcester County Grand Jury indicted 28-year-old Matthew Burton on eight counts. They include murder in the 1st degree and 2nd degree, rape in the 1st and 2nd degree, sex offence in the 4th degree, kidnapping, and assault in the 1st degree.
Burton is accused of killing 35-year-old Nicole Bennett in June of this year. She was reported missing after never coming home from work at a Gumboro church. Her body was found in Worcester County, just hours later. She is survived by her husband Kevin and three young daughters.
Burton is being held at the Worcester County Jail. There are no other court dates set for Burton at this time.
