CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A Cambridge man is wanted after allegedly escaping police custody on Monday. Cambridge Police were investigating drug activity at the Best Value Inn, they went to room 207, where there was a strong smell of marijuana.

Police searched the room, where they say they found suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a .38 handgun. 22-year-old Lorenzo Jones and 27-year-old Sarah Rorrer were arrested, charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm while engaged in a drug trafficking crime, and other related offences.

Both were ordered to be held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on $75,000, but Jones, while handcuffed, apparently escaped from the Commissioner's Office and fled on foot. Police say they searched the area, but could not find him, he is now wanted. Anyone with information on Jones's whereabouts should call 410-228-3333.
