Shots Fired Into Salisbury Home, Victim Injured

SALISBURY, Md. - A shooting investigation is underway after gunfire rang out in Salisbury early Tuesday morning. Police say it happened on the 600 block of South Westover Drive just before 2:30 a.m. The victim told cops he was sitting in his living room when a bullet struck his leg.

"Unknown suspects approached the front door of the residence, tried to get their attention by knocking at the door, ultimately fired a number of shots at the front door, one of which hit the victim and caused injury," said Sgt. David Owens, of the Wicomico Bureau of Investigations.

The victim was treated and released from PRMC. If you know anything about this incident, the Wicomico Bureau of Investigations is asking you to call them at 410-548-4898.
