DELMAR, Md. - Police arrested three foster children in connection with a burglary of a foster home. On August 22nd, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office started investigating a burglary where the bedrooms and office in her Carioca Road home, had been ransacked, and a large amount of cash was missing.
Police say that there were no signs of forced entry into the house. That investigation began to focus on the victim's two live-in foster children, and another foster child who did not live there.
Police say that a 17-year-old boy, 18-year-old Devonte Johnson, both of Delmar, MD and 20-year-old Kenneth Robbins of Salisbury, forced their way into the office, took the cash and messed up the bedrooms to try to make it look like a break in.
They say that the group then went to the Centre at Salisbury, and went on a shopping spree. They say that they found some of the unspent cash during the investigation.
Johnson and Robbins were arrested, charged with theft, malicious destruction of property, and burglary. Both are being held at the Detention Center on $50,000 bond. The 17-year-old is being held at the Lower Shore Children's Center.
